Arenson is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer / Furniture Specifier for our Woodbridge, NJ office. Successful candidates approach every project with stategic thinking and the utmost attention to detail. Individual must have at least 2 years demonstrated experience with an understanding of the office furniture industry.
Responsibilities include:
Creating furniture drawings in CAD from block libraries
Basic Space-planning skills
Printing floor plans
Generating Bills of Materials
Making furniture suggestions
Assist in the value-engineering process by recommending furniture products
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Knoll contract furniture systems product and specifications is required.
Knowledge of Kimball systems is a plus
Two years’ experience with AutoCAD
Experience with CAP Designer is helpful, but not required
A sound knowledge of engineering drawing and principles
A working understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties and construction documents and methods
Good numeracy, computer skills and communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Creative flair

The ability to meet deadlines
